Below is a list of appliances currently in service with Hastings Fire Brigade.

 

Isuzu Rear Mounted Type 3 Pumper

Isuzu FTR 900 Crew cabin providing for 6 Crew Members

The Appliance has a 2000 ltr first aid tank and a Rosenbauer Model NH30 Fire Pump located at the rear of the vehicle. The pump is a multi pressure type (high and normal pressures) and is capable of flows up to 3,000 litres per minute. It is driven by the vehicle through the PTO. One (1) live hose reel is provided at the rear of the appliance (70 meters).

Supporting the water delivery system is a Hale Foam Master foam proportioning system to provide A Class and concentrate to Number 1 Delivery. Class B Foam can be delivered to all delivery outlets utilizing a Rosenbauer around the pump foam proportioning system.

Hybrid Crew Cab Heavy Tanker-Hino 3.4C

The crew cab heavy tanker consists of a cabin with seating for 5 crew and an increase in tank size from 3,000 litres to 3,750 litres with 750 allocated for the new vehicle spray protection system. The CFA crew protection system incorporates the vehicle spray system with 31 spray outlets distributed evenly over the vehicle and drop down fire curtains in the cabe. The tanker has a FoamProClass" A" Foam system, as well as a Class "B" induction system incorporated in the Elkhart Monitor. The Tanker has been fitted with a fire-fighting pump set comprising a twin cylinder, 22Kw Hatz Silent Pack Air-Cooled Diesel which is closed coupled to a GAAM MK 325 Single-Stage Fire-fighting pump.


The Tanker has been constructed on the Hino Ranger PRO 8Z, 4WD Diesel engine powered crew cab chassis.

Hazmat Salvage

The Hazmat Salvage's primary use is for chemical spills and other major hazards. The Hazamat also assists in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) as well as Salvage tasks at the end of a job. Such tasks may include things like cleaning up water or other chemicals from the road, sweeping out a building and so on. The Hazmat itself carries no water or pump, though it does have several lengths of hose. It also has mast tower for lighting purposes, as well as several ground lights, all powered by a generator.

Brigade Support 

The Brigade Support is a 2009 model Nissan Patrol. The support vehicle will be used to transport crew to various jobs, as well as a forward command car, and will be used for strike team duties if required.
