Welcome to the website of Hastings Fire Brigade.

Hastings is a town in Victoria, Australia, located on the western side of Western Port Bay between Tyabb and Bittern. Hastings forms part of Western Port Group, which is part of Region 8.

Hastings has a great role in supporting the community in preventing incidents which could include structure fires, grass fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials and various other incidents.

Members also could be asked to respond to incidents outside the area including all parts of Victoria and other states. Hastings has a large industrial area to provide protection to sites such as Bluescope Steel, ESSO Long Island Point Gas Fractionation Plant and a large marine and shipping infrastructure.

Hastings Fire Brigade also supports all areas of Region 8 (click for map). Hastings is part of the Central District for both the Total Fire Ban and Fire Danger Rating alerts. On a day of Total Fire Ban for Central District, an announcement regarding it will appear above.
